Out and about again this month, sacrificing myself on the hunt for great food in Manchester! Here is what i got up to….
Busaba Eathai, Printworks, Manchester
New seasonal specials now available until April. My recommendations are the drunken beef noodles with the jasmin margarita.
Rosso, King Street, Manchester
Rosso has just been refurbished and is beautifully crisp and white, which makes the dishes stand out even more in their surroundings. To go with this they now also have a new lunch menu that changes monthly, for February my favourite dish was the pork and fennel pasta.
Don Giovanni, Oxford Street, Manchester
Don Giovanni always creates a stand out menu for special events and their Valentine’s menu was even better than expected. With all the dishes looking beautiful and cooked to perfection it was hard to pick a favourite, but here is one of them… The burrata was stunning – so simple yet so perfect.
Bock Biere Cafe, Tib Street, Manchester
Bock is a new Belgian beer specialist just off cross street (near the town hall) open since December they are now doing food too. We went along to sample the sharing boards (our favourite was the anti pasti)… and it would have been rude to not give the Belgian waffles a try too…. You can imagine the happiness they provided!
Artisan, Spinningfields, Manchester
We went along for a mid week treat to try out the Artisan lunch menu, the healthy salad with short rib beef was a work of art.
