WEDDING: Charlotte & Jon Hartley
After amazing catch ups and an ideas meeting with Charli and Jon in the lead up to the wedding i could not wait for the day. Super excited after seeing Charli’s creations and hearing Jon’s photo ideas, the day could not come soon enough.
23rd July 2016 finally came, the sun was out in full force, perfect for the park wedding of Charlotte and Jon Hartley.
The location was Avenham and Miller park in Preston, a stunning park with so many elements including a riverside walk, Japanese gardens, bandstand and large grassed areas, for a day trip i would highly recommend it to families, and for weddings it is perfect… when the British sunshine plays along. My sun dances paid off this time.
The apartment where the girls were getting ready was just at the top of the park, a beautiful 2 story Georgian residence, between this and the close bond between Charli and her maid of honour Amanda there were so many moments to capture.
The ceremony took place in the Belvedere overlooking the park, allowing Charli and her bridesmaids to walk up the steps and appear, to the guests, like goddesses out of nowhere (this was after being on dropped off by a tractor!)
After a beautiful ceremony and the group shots, guests relaxed in the sunshine on the terrace where super cute bride Charli had arranged for canapés, drinks and outdoor games to be to keep everyone entertained while we did the more intimate shots.
With such a stunning couple and a location with so many elements it was hard not to want to keep Charli and Jon all to myself for the rest of the afternoon.
Here are a few shots in the Japanese Gardens.
After a great session with Charli & Jon and a guest appearance from a steel drum player! It was time to make our way over to the Pavillion where the evening ceremony would take place.
After seeing the Pavillion set up as a cafe on a wrecky earlier in the month, it was fab to see the room set up by Charli herself, who has recently set up the wonderful Bridal Box Studios company, specialising in venue dressing, bridal bouquets, stationery and much more. With Jon loving (being obsessed with) super heroes and Charli loving vintage them they managed to combine the two perfectly.
Elaine and I loved every single second of this wedding but if we had to choose our favourite moment from the day it would have to be the time between the speeches and into the first dance, love oozed from Charli, Jon and the boys. An utter joy for us to witness.
We are so lucky to experience love like this…. happiness in every moment, and thankful to be able to capture those beautiful moments for this amazing couple.
